A bio-diversified, sustainable and eco-friendly system has been evolved by Dr. Soham Pandya. The productivity of such land is 2.5 times more than the mono cultured system. During survey number of tuber bearing plant species has been identified (as listed below) and some of them are being incorporated in mainstream market through technology and management inputs in production processing and marketing.
The novel system designed is
gainful to SHG who wants to undertake cultivation, processing marketing in the
villages. The yield of some tuber is 30 Tons per hectare & after marketing
at fair price it gives handsome returns.
The management package is
developed at six different places for demonstration.
